As a member of a writer’s group I am aware that although there are many of us who
would love to write the bestseller full length novel there is a place for the short
story. Writing them, and in particular to a theme or length, hones the writing skills
and teaches good critique to the listener when same are read out. Besides, there
is nothing worse than listening to somebody waffle at a public reading with a story
that is too long -
